***MNF SWAMP SOUP DU JOUR***

I know the Swamp has been a bit mucky lately but have faith that it is always a matter of time before SwampNasty bounces back from a rocky week or two. Tonight will be the night with a big time dawgie dawg in a great position to suprise the league tonight on the Prime Time stage. We have a lowly Carolina Panthers team who I believe have dropped four straight games as of late as they head into Philadelphia to take on a very tough Eagles team who have just lost their starting QB. Carolina has lost to all teams with a respected Super Bowl winning QB; Big Ben, Flacco, Rodgers, Wilson, and Brees, in that order. Tonight they face Mark Sanchez making his first start after coming in mid-game last week against a wounded Houston secondary. For some reason Bird Country has big time faith in Sanchize AKA "Butt Fumble," I don't really get why and I am not willing to buy into it just yet. There is even talk that Sanchez is better than Foles? Come on man!!! Back when the Jets were in back to back AFC Championship games with Sanchez as their QB I always said if they had any other QB in the league, literally almost ANY other starting QB in the league with that defense they probably win back to back Super Bowls. In other words I'm sorry but Sanchez is awful. Yea yea I know that now he has the said best "running back in the game" behind him and now he has some "weapons" at wide reciever that "he didn't have before on the Jets" and now he can finally "progress and play well." Nah, Swamp says this is still the same 'ol Butt Fumble and he will make his mistakes tonight against a quietly tough Carolina defense who will make him work for everything he gets tonight. He may have some success, but not enough...more bad than good. The Cats will be in his face as they come to play while motivated to take the lead in their division despite having a terrible season thus far. They are lucky that the Saints, Bucs, and Falcons are all in the same boat and the door is still open for the Panthers as their season schedule starts to lighten up a bit moving foward. Carolina has the Linebackers led by stud Luke Kuechly to help keep LeSean McCoy contained and their DBs will pick Sanchez off once or twice tonight that will prove costly for the Birds. On the other side of the ball I see Cam taking the bull by the horns tonight being fed up with losing and reverting back to his hold style by running the ball when pressured. Also keep in mind that the Birds lost their captain on defense in DeMeco Ryans. This is HUGE. That can really throw a wrench in the way things work. I like the Cats to get back on track in this one and make a run for the division during the rest of the season by looking more like the team we saw last season. I actually like them to win outright here for a Swampy Soup MNF 'especial, but be safe and take those generous points. CATS +7 !
