***CHICAGO BEARS @ SAN DIEGO CHARGERS***
We have a suprisingly sexy matchup tonight between two unraveling teams midway through the season as the Chicago Bears head into San Diego to take on the Chargers. Both teams are led by veteran gunslinger QBs in Jay Cutler and Phillip Rivers. I love when these guys faceoff as it is no secret that they aren't exactly buddies and we have seen them chirp at eachother in the past. I love that stuff, and I think there is very few players out there who are more competetive than Chargers QB Phillip Rivers. I have always been a fan of this guy's passion to play the position and the intensity that he brings to every game. The Bolts have been way overdue for a big win at home and tonight is the perfect spot to rellish the opporutnity to do so. Last time they were on MNF they blew a late lead to the Michael Vick led Steelers and fell victim to a heartbreaking loss in the final seconds. I like them to get things right infront of the fans today before their bye week. The Chargers have always been a sneaky team in November and I wouldn't consider them dead in the water just yet (crazy to say I know). Both teams have been bitten by the dreaded injury bug in a big way all season long. I know tonight that the Chargers are without their top WR Keenan Allen, TE Ladarius Green, and their offensive line has been interchanging the entire season. That being said, at this point it they are used to shuffling around up front and with Rivers in the pocket, he will have little problem utilizing the other targets at his disposal like WR Stevie Johnson whom he has built a great rapport with early on this season before Johnson was out with injury. He also of course has his trusty longtime go-to veteran TE Antonio Gates and the fiesty RB out of the backfield Danny Woodhead on passing downs. I also have a hunch that the SD first round pick RB Melvin Gordon will finally have a breakout game on the big stage tonight. On the other side of things the Bears have definitely improved and I like what they are doing with new head coach John Fox in charge. However, I think it is a bad spot for them tonight coming out west and without a HUGE part of their offense in RB Matt Forte. In place of him is rookie RB Jeremy Langford who looks very promising thus far but did drop a BIG pass to end the Bears potential game winning drive last week which to me, just shows exactly how much they will surely miss the threat of Forte catching passes out of the backfield. This will be entirely up to Jay Cutler tonight to have a great game, the guy has looked pretty good this year which makes me think it is about time for the "the Bad Jay Cutler" to rear his ugly head. I know the Bears have their stud WR Alshon Jeffery back and still have a beast of a TE in Martellus Bennett but I just have a gut feeling that Cutler will not be at his best and the Chargers will obviously be focusing on eliminating those two weapons tonight. Hopefully SD Probowl safety Eric Weddle will be back in the lineup tonight to provide the much needed positive 'charge' in this SD defense as well as right now he is still listed as questionable after missing some time due to an injury. I think the Chargers try and establish the run game to milk long drives for consistent points and force Jay Cutler to keep up resulting in some bad decisions. SD gets it right tonight. CHARGERS -4
