***INDIANAPOLIS COLTS & JACKSONVILLE JAGUARS @ LONDON***
London has oddly become home away from home for the Jaguars as they seem to be the only team consistently playing there year after year and have recently extended their contract to 2020. Last year the Jags were able to pull off their first win in four tries overseas against the Buffalo Bills. Today they host the first-ever overseas divisional matchup as they take on their rival, Andrew Luck and the Colts. The Jags remain winless so far this season and will look to utilize their familiarity with this extra long road-trip to their advantage since their opponent will be making the trip for the first time. The Colts were in another shootout last weekend when they hosted the Chargers and were able to put together a game winning drive when WR TY Hilton broke loose for a long touchdown. In my opinion, the banged up Chargers should have won this game. They mismanaged it by and didn't capitalize on big opportunities, and ultimately paid the price. Today the Colts will be facing a team as talented as they are desperate for a win, which can make for a very dangerous recipe. The Jags almost stunned the NFL with a big upset week one over the mighty Packers when they fell just short of victory in the waining moments of the game. They haven't seemed to get over the hangover from this dissapointment as they got their teeth kicked the next week by that same Chargers team who the Colts just beat, and blew another very possible win over a strong Ravens team last week. Needless to say Head Coach Gus Bradley is on the hot seat. With a bye week on deck, Bradley may be feeling the heat more than ever as teams usually utilize the bye week and the extra time to make any necessary big coaching changes. Gus is a players coach and I believe his guys will have his back today. The Jags will be getting some key guys back today that were out last week, and I like them to get after Andrew Luck early and often on defense. To keep things short and sweet as we have about a little over a half hour until kickoff, Jags QB Blake Bortles and his offense have not lived up to their preseason hype just yet and I think today is the day they open'er up. Although the Colts defense has also been injured thus far and is slowly getting some pieces back, they are still just moving from what was a terrible secondary to now should be average to solid, and I don't think they will be able to keep up with these hungry Jaguar WRs in this one. Jacksonville also gets back spark plug RB Chris Ivory who will be making his season debut and I got to believe this will help get the guys a little extra jacked up. Ahhhh what's better than a little appetizer game early Sunday morning before the NFL buffet, gotta love it! JAGUARS+2
